Outdoor Adventure Program at Pine Bush High School
Volunteers Needed
Fellow Club Members:
We have received notice that Pine Bush High School will again have indoor air rifle and computer simulated shooting events as part of their Outdoor Adventure program. Our club is a major contributor of manpower for this event and we hope this year will be no different. For the program to be successful and continue, we need adult volunteers. We MUST HAVE one on one coaching for students on prone air rifle shooting. We need other volunteers to prepare targets and supplies and oversee the computer simulated shooting. We get some help from the Orange County Federation, Orange County Sheriffs, and DEC. But as I said, our club is a major component.
We do not have all details yet but the start date is Monday April 12th. It normally goes for about 4 days total. The first day is to orient the adult volunteers only. All will be explained to you at the orientation. You don't need to be an expert shot or know anything special or have coaching experience. SAFETY is our primary concern.
You also do not need to attend every day or all day. The club will allow any time you spend there to be used as club work hours. I believe anyone who has worked this activity will tell you they felt it was a rewarding experience.
